A life transition is any change or adjustment that impacts your life in a significant way. Over the course of a lifetime, a person can expect to experience a significant amount of change — big and small, planned and unplanned. Transitions may be centered around something exciting, such as:

  • Health problems

  • Disabling accidents/tragedy

  • Marriage

  • Birth

  • Divorce/Breakups

  • Death

  • Moving

  • Travel

  • Social/ Political changes


Many times we cannot control the challenges and changes life throws at us. As we move through difficult phases of life the idea of change and change itself can be difficult to adapt to.
